Golden Jubilee Basketball Tournament 01 to 03 July 2011
Sainik School Amaravathinagar was established in July 1962. It is entering its golden jubilee in July this year.
With the view to promote participation of student in sports and games, the school organized a state level basketball tournament form 1 -3 July 2011. 25 Teams from reputed Schools located all over Tamilnadu participated in the tournament. These included 09 Girls Teams and 12 Boys Teams. Day and Night matches were played by the teams on Knock-Out basis from 01 to 03 July. Officials & referees from Tamilnadu Basketball Association conducted the matches
Thiru C Shanmugavelu Hon’ble Minister for Rural Industries was the Chief Guest and Thiru K Sukumar Hon’ble Member of Parliament was the Guest of Honour for the Closing Ceremony. The Chief Guest and the Special Guest gave away the Trophies, Certificates, Medals and Cash Prizes to the following teams
